Profile

My clinical interests have always been in the area of adult neurological rehabilitation and in particular, motor recovery post-stroke. I completed a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology and subsequently started to live a split life. I joined the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI) in 1993 in order to learn how to run large clinical trials. I continue to work at the PHRI have been involved in a variety of large trials that examine interventions for cardiovascular and diabetes prevention.

Concurrently I have been involved in both the development and teaching of year one PREP courses in the School of OT, developed the online course in Evidence Based Practice that is currently used in the Master's program and been involved development of the Evidence Based Practice module for interdisciplinary education.

I am also completing my PhD through the School of Rehabilitation Science, and my thesis work is evaluating cognitive based motor learning approaches to the recovery of function post-stroke.
