Profile

Liliana Coman is an Assistant Professor within the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University, Physiotherapy Programme. She is also the International Student Coordinator and the Department Education Coordinator in the School of Rehabilitation Science.

Liliana is originally from Romania, where she completed her MD degree at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. She graduated with a BHSc degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and completed her Master of Science degree at University of Waterloo.

Liliana now chairs and teaches in the term on Fundamentals of Cardio-respiratory and Neurological Physiotherapy (Unit III). She also coordinates the Clinical Lab courses in Unit IV (Advanced Neurological Physiotherapy Practice) and in Unit V (Community Health / Community Practice)

Liliana's research interests are in the effects of aging on mobility and disability and the role of physiotherapists in primary health care, as well as in the application of the theories of teaching and learning in class.
