Profile

Steven Hanna is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a Joint Member of the School of Rehabilitation Science. He is also an Investigator at the CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research. He is a biostatistician with a background in Social Psychology. He obtained a PhD in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 1998. He is involved in health research in a wide variety of areas including biostatistics, child health and disability, health services, and population health.

Research Specialty

In biostatistics, Steve’s research interests include longitudinal studies, latent variable models, multilevel models, and issues in measurement. At CanChild, he is involved with research in child health, development, and disability. In the area of health services research, he also conducts research in knowledge translation, including the evaluation, use, and usefulness of clinical practice guidelines.
