Profile
Bonny joined the School of Rehabilitation Science (SRS) in 1990, having worked previously as a clinical instructor with the Mohawk College Occupational Therapy Program. Her clinical background includes working with adults with physical health and mental health concerns; however, her primary clinical focus is in community practice. Bonny currently teaches in the Occupational Therapy Program, is Chair the SRS Admissions Committee, and is Director of the Program for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (PIPER) at McMaster University's Faculty of Health Sciences.
Fun Fact
Bonny enjoys biking along the Hamilton waterfront with her husband, baking lemon bars, volunteering at the Literacy Council and having wonderful conversations with her two sons.
Research Specialty
Bonny's research focuses on 1) Fieldwork Education: preceptor training, models of student supervision, intraprofessional and interprofessional fieldwork education, 2) Curriculum: problem-based learning, university-community partnerships and, 3) Inclusive education: accessibility in higher education
