MSc Physiotherapy Clinical Education

The global goal of the McMaster University MSc (PT) Program is to prepare students to practice in a variety of roles and diverse practice environments. We strive to prepare physiotherapists to be caring and reflective practitioners who are clinical scholars with the ability to provide client-centered, effective and efficient health care, to critically evaluate the scientific basis of practice, to adapt to and initiate change, to collaborate within interprofessional teams, and to become life long learners.

The Clinical Education component of the curriculum provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in the academic setting in a clinical setting. They are supervised by licensed physiotherapists, who share their professional and clinical expertise to prepare students for independent clinical practice when they graduate.

Whether you are a current or future preceptor or student, we hope you'll find the information on our website informative and useful. We encourage any feedback you might have and would welcome you to contact us at any time if you have any further questions!
